Hear HoGo CEO Hiro Kataoka Interviewed on Privacy Piracy Radio

Manchester, NH – January 8, 2014 – On December 23, 2013, Hiro Kataoka, founder and CEO of cloud-based document distribution and protection service HoGo, was interviewed by Mari Frank, Esq. on her radio show Privacy Piracy, broadcast on KUCI 88.9FM, Irvine, Calif.

The full interview has been archived and is now available online at http://www.kuci.org/privacypiracy/2013Archive.html#12_23_13

Kataoka discussed with Frank his motivation and inspiration for starting HoGo, the importance of protecting data and intellectual property on documents shared electronically, and the risks to data integrity in a share-happy world.

“Communications has gotten too easy, too casual, and people are not taking care” to protect sensitive information, Kataoka said. When sending files, even if the service is secure or the file is encrypted, there are no guarantees the information will be safe once it arrives at its destination.

“The weak link is the person on the other end,” Kataoka explained.

HoGo gives the sender control over the file even after it has been sent so that it cannot be forwarded, copied, printed or otherwise shared without assigned permissions.
