HoGo has many powerful tools for you to easily protect, send, and manage PDF documents. Following is a summary of the various features of HoGo as well as system and other requirements.

Protection HoGo uses advanced DRM (digital rights management) technology so that files protected with HoGo cannot be re-transmitted or shared. All documents in HoGo are encrypted, and HoGo disables most screen capture tools when a protected document is being viewed using either the browser, HoGo Viewer, or Microsoft Office. For Word and Excel documents, copy and paste from protected files is disabled.

Sending You can send up to 100 documents to 1000 recipients at once.
Sending Modes

You can select one of three ways to send your documents.

“Direct Send” pushes your encrypted document to your recipient’s HoGo Viewer. An e-mail will also be sent to the recipient notifying them that a document is available in their Viewer. Once your recipient opens their HoGo Viewer (it is available for free here), your document will be delivered.

“Web Links” are links to your documents that you can distribute via e-mail, web, or any other means. When your recipient clicks on the link, they will be able to view the document in their browser (Windows and Mac, Flash and Adobe Reader required)

“Send to Adobe Reader or Microsoft Office” creates a link to your document that your recipient can click to download a HoGo-protected PDF file that can be viewed on a PC or Mac using just the standard Adobe Reader, or protected Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files that can be opened in Microsoft Office 2010, and 2013 with the free HoGo Add-in.

Viewing Modes

Download – Documents that are set as downloadable can be downloaded to the recipient’s HoGo Viewer (Windows, iOS, Android) or Adobe Reader (Windows, MacOS) for offline viewing.
Word and Excel files are all downloadable and can be opened using Microsoft Word or Excel with the HoGo Add-in for Microsoft Office.

Online – PDF files that are sent as Web Links can be viewed online using a standard Web browser running Flash and Adobe Reader on PC and Mac. The document cannot be saved or re-transmitted.

The MyDocuments feature allows you to manage documents which you have uploaded to HoGo.

History HoGo keeps a log of your activities with helpful filters and search tools so you can find the information you want easily.
Package Detail A “package” is created when you send one or more documents to one or more recipients. By accessing the package detail for any transmission, you can add or delete documents and recipients, change permissions, or even take documents away from certain recipients. This powerful feature gives you complete control over your sent documents.
Tracking See who has downloaded your files, and who has opened them, and when
Address Book HoGo remembers who you sent documents to, by saving them in your Address Book. You can also load contacts from a standard .csv file.
Billing and Payment

HoGo uses a points system where each document transmission, one document sent to one recipient, costs one point.
