Q: In the new HoGo 2.0, how do I send directly to HoGo Viewer?

A: In the Send Wizard screen, select your documents and recipients, then click on the Advanced Options button at the bottom. A pop-up will appear where you can specify "Send directly to HoGo Viewer".

Q: What platforms does HoGo support?

A: You can send documents using HoGo from PC’s running Windows Vista, Windows7, and Windows8/8.1 as well as most Macs. Supported browsers are Internet Explorer9 and newer, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. For best results, use the latest versions of each browser and install the latest Adobe Flash Player.

To view PDF documents sent by HoGo, you can download the HoGo Viewer for Windows (XP and newer) and iOS (iPad and iPhone).  For PC, you will also need Adobe Reader.

You can also view PDF links created by HoGo on a PC or Mac using your browser. Note that you will also need to have Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader Plugin for your browser.

Microsoft Word and Excel files can be viewed with Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, and 2013 on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8/8.1 by downloading and installing the HoGo Add-in.

 

Q:  Do I have to be online to view HoGo documents?

A: If your document is downloaded to your PC or tablet, then you do not have to be online once the document has been opened once.

 

Q: Are there any limitations on the PDF files I can send using HoGo?

A: Files must be under 50 MB in size, and may not contain any layers. Also, HoGo cannot send files that are protected by a password.

 

Q: Are there any limitations on the Microsoft Word and Excel files I can send using HoGo?

A: Files must be under 50 MB in size, and must be created using Microsoft Word 2007 / Excel 2007 or newer.

 

Q: Can Microsoft Word and Excel files protected with HoGo be edited by the recipient?

A: Yes, if you set the permissions for editing to "allowed", your recipient can edit and save a local copy of the document. However, no one else will be able to open the original or the copy.

 

Q: Does HoGo prevent people from copy-pasting the contents of a protected Word or Excel file?

A: Yes, we block any attempts to copy contents from inside a protected file.

 

Q: I want to un-protect a file that I sent, and was edited and saved by a colleague. How do I do this?

A: If you are the owner of the document (the one who originally protected it), then you can unlock it using the unlock feature of the HoGo Add-in. Once your colleague sends you the edited version of your document, open it using Microsoft Word or Excel with the HoGo Add-in. Use the E-mail address of your HoGo account to open the document. Now, to unlock it click on the HoGo tab and select Unlock.

 

Q: Does HoGo support Windows XP?

A: At this time, Windows XP is no longer officially supported for sending documents with HoGo.
